Piantek has participated in furnishing modern and welcoming Huili rest stops. By the end of 2025, Restel opened 33 new Huili rest stops across Neste’s service station network throughout Finland.

It has been a pleasure to be part of this project. Good luck and success in the future to all newly opened Huili rest stops.

We are proud to have been a part of the renovation of Arina Cooperative Society’s ABC Pulkkila restaurant section.

The restaurant was furnished with new and stylish furniture designed specifically to meet the customer’s needs. We manufactured the furniture entirely in-house and took care of the installation. The project was completed while the station remained open which was made possible by the collaboration with other contractors and Arina Cooperative Society.

ABC Pulkkila offers a wide range of services, including a café, a buffet, à la carte dishes, and a children’s play area. ABC Pulkkila is now an even more attractive waypoint – and Piantek is proud to have been a part in making it happen.

Sustainable construction of premises

Studies of the effects of construction on the surrounding world show that natural resources are not unlimited and are rapidly depleted in construction. The ecologicalness of construction starts already on the designer’s desk. It matters, what materials are used and how a building is constructed. The site of construction, placement of the building and the choice of materials are significant in terms of ecology. We use local suppliers to provide the materials and for this reason we prefer wood that is available in every corner of Finland. Furthermore, trees bind carbon dioxide when growing. In our range you can find various long-lasting and approved natural materials as well as recycled materials. These also include materials that can be used, for example, as nutrients for agricultural fields after their demolition.

There has been a major development in the energy efficiency of building systems, and heat recovery can be implemented in all heat production.

Indoor air has a great impact on people’s health and comfort. It is possible to use energy-efficient filter technology for air purification. This allows efficient air flow while the filtering performance remains at its peak.

Smart energy solutions are two-way, both supplying and receiving energy. The development of solar panels, wind turbines and related battery systems also complement these solutions.

Water is a vital renewable natural resource; however, water consumption can exceed water yield. Several solutions for recycling and saving water are already available. In addition to these, it would be important to change operations to minimize water loss and increase water use efficiency. Controlling water consumption is a climate action.

The service life of buildings should be extended by constructing in conformity with the life cycle thinking. Designs should allow for adapting premises to different needs of usage. This contributes to long-term property value and not only consideration of demolition costs.

New restaurant called 60° Bar and Brewery has been opened at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. It is located in the T5 terminal. The restaurant has many classy details like brass pipes, a moss wall and stunning leather sofas.

Piantek has manufactured restaurant’s furnitures.

Design fashion store La Boutique opened in August 2023 at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in the Non-Schengen gate area. La Boutique sells shoes and accessories from the luxury brands Jimmy Choo and Chloé . The business premises are stylish and clear. The products are beautifully displayed in brass showcases, round floor shelves and wall furniture shelves.

The retail space was contracted by Piantek and we have manufactured and installed these stylish pieces of furniture.

New furniture from Piantek. Finavia has renovated the lounge areas of Helsinki-Vantaa airport, investing in Finnish architecture and design made of wood. In the gate area, the same design language has been used as in the renovated departure hall. These new benches are already in use by customers and have been placed in different parts of this area converted into a gate area. A little rest between shopping and traveling is necessary. The furniture for the toilets near the area is also made by Piantek.
