Pohjanmaan Kaluste Ltd and Piantek Ltd have been chosen together as the special furniture manufacturers for Helsinki’s Pasila district’s rising The Node tower project. When completed, The Node will be Finland’s tallest office building: a 32‑storey and approximately 130‑meter‑tall landmark that will be built in the immediate vicinity of the Pasila Station and the Mall of Tripla.

The selection is a significant expression of trust for the companies and a fine opportunity to be involved in a demanding, architecturally impressive, and nationally interesting construction project. The long-lasting project brings continuity to production and employs a wide range of experts from both companies, from design to manufacturing and installation. In the implementation of the special furnishings, high quality, precise project management, and the ability to meet the individual and adaptable needs of modern office spaces are emphasized.

Piantek has participated in furnishing modern and welcoming Huili rest stops. By the end of 2025, Restel opened 33 new Huili rest stops across Neste’s service station network throughout Finland.

During this past fall Arina Cooperative Society has opened two new Ravintolamaailma restaurants at the Prisma shopping centers in Kemi and Raahe.

Piantek was pleased to be involved in both projects as the manufacturer of the custom furniture. We designed, produced, and installed the concept furniture for the café Presso and for the Pizza & Buffa restaurant.

Piantek is participating in furnishing modern and welcoming Huili rest stops. The first stop has already been opened at Neste Vantaa’s Tammisto service station. By the end of 2025, Restel will open 33 new Huili rest stops across Neste’s service station network throughout Finland.

At Huili, travellers can have a rest in an inspiring space built around quality food and kind customer service. Huili turns a break into a relaxing experience.

In 2005, we began by manufacturing product display stands. 20 years later we’ve completed countless projects both in Finland and abroad – and the journey is still going strong!

Over the years we’ve worked with a wide variety of materials – from wood and stone to plastics and from refrigeration technology to electronics. One of our most important achievements has been building long-term customer relationships based on trust and collaboration.

In 2009 we began to focus more on manufacturing custom furniture for restaurants and special environments and in 2011 we relocated to Koskenkorva – at the same time our logo color changed from blue to orange. A symbol of a new phase and growth.

The most significant changes have taken place in material development and the strengthening of environmental values. We’ve been part of the changes every step of the way.

As a manufacturing industry we take responsible actions. On March 12th 2025, Piantek Oy was awarded the “Carbon Footprint Calculated” label, which proves that we have begun our climate efforts following the international GHG protocol. The Central Chamber of Commerce confirms that the calculation was conducted before granting the right to use the label.

The “Carbon Footprint Calculated” label marks the beginning of Piantek Oy’s emission reduction efforts and establishes a baseline for future measures.

Last autumn Piantek had the opportunity to implement completely new fixed furnitures in the Flamingo Spa’s children’s area adding both functionality and playfulness to the space.

We utilized our modern machinery to create visually appealing details such as the waffle-like appearance of the ice cream station.

All materials were carefully selected to meet the requirements of the space. Water resistance and high durability were at the core of the design.
