Summary
Piantek Oy designs, manufactures and installs unique furniture for companies and other institutions for business districts, shops, restaurants, shipbuilding industry and other demanding space solutions. To serve our customers, we also collect necessary information about our customers’ contact persons. We consider data protection to be of great importance, and we comply with applicable data protection regulations.
Piantek Oy’s marketing and customer registers contain information about our customers’ contact persons. This data consists of regular contact information provided by the customer or the contact person itself, and of automatically collected website usage information. Data processing is based on the customer relationship or our legitimate interest for customer acquisition, or on the consent of the registered entity. The information is used to deliver products and services, to manage customer relationships, and for the advertisement that is directed to companies and other entities. The registered person may, based on the person’s duties, be sent direct marketing targeted to the company or other entity, unless the data subject has objected to this. The information will not be passed on to third parties, but it may be passed on to trusted service providers for processing.

1. What personal information we collect and how we collect it
We may collect information about you when you order our products, use our website, visit our location, or otherwise interact with our staff. We will not collect sensitive information about you. The information we collect can be divided into two categories based on the source of information: (a) information provided by your employer or yourself, and (b) information that we collect automatically. We may combine and connect the automatically collected information with the information you have provided.
We may collect your personal information that is associated with your job function, and given to us by you or your employer, such as your name, telephone number, e-mail address and employer, as well as information about the nature of your job function and your associated projects and project roles. We may also collect other information you provide to us. The primary basis for processing your personal data is Piantek Oy’s customer relationship or potential customer relationship with the company or other community you are employed in, as well as the associated legitimate interest in managing the customer relationship and in directing the marketing activities. We may process your information also based on your given consent.
We use your personal information in customer relationship management, communications, order processing, product and service delivery, analytics and statistical purposes, and for targeted advertising and marketing.
3. Who processes your personal information
Your personal data is processed by those Piantek Oy’s employees who are involved in marketing, sales, installation or administration. Our staff is trained in secure data processing, and each personnel group will handle the data only to the extent necessary for performing their duties.
Your personal data will also be used by our trusted service providers, whom your personal data may be transferred to. These service providers provide us with services such as data processing and other IT services, as well as promotional and analytics services. We do not allow service providers to use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than to provide services on our behalf. We will delete your information stored in the register when your employment with our customer ends or your duties otherwise change, so that there is no longer any reason to process your personal information.

You have the right to verify the information concerning yourself and to request correction, deletion or addition of incorrect information. You also have the right to exercise all your rights defined by data privacy regulation, such as the right to restrict and to object to processing, and the right to transfer data from one system to another. In certain circumstances, to ensure reliable identification, we may require that requests for the exercise of your rights be made personally at our office or by a handwritten letter of appropriate identification. We will respond to requests for review in writing.
You also have the right to prohibit the use of your provided information for direct advertisement, distance selling, or other direct marketing. If you have given us permission to send you marketing communications, you can subsequently refuse this communication by following the instructions we include in your messages.
We always strive to resolve personal data processing issues directly with the data subject, with full respect for the data subject’s rights. If a user does not want us or our affiliates to send targeted advertising or content based on the user’s Internet behaviour, the user can prevent this by disabling the corresponding cookies in the browser settings. The mobile identifier, similar to the cookie, can be reset in the device settings. By clearing the cookies or the mobile identifier at regular intervals, the user can change the identifier that establishes the profile of the user. However, clearing cookies does not entirely stop data collection, but it resets the profile based on past behavioural data.
