In the spring of 2022, an amazing international project started with Dufry Finland at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport’s departure terminal. The new 1300m2 tax-free store opened for customers on December 8, 2022. The stylish store was designed from Madrid on behalf of Mostaza Design. The project complex was managed from Sweden and by the customer Dufry Finland. Piantek manufactured and installed the space’s furniture for Dufry and various brands.
The airport is a demanding operating environment in terms of its size, material requirements and safety aspects. It is also open 24/7 on site. Those of you familiar with the industry know what a frenzy it is like on the construction site when the opening day approaches. It requires an accurate eye for the game, scheduling, cooperation and flexibility in an ever-changing work environment.
